My name is Chris Gardner and I've been working in the field of design and motion graphics for 22 years. I have been blessed to work alongside brilliant creatives and other talented professionals to bring hundreds of projects to life. I work hard to expand on the creative vision of my clients, delivering better than expected results. Producers can rely on me to communicate effectively, deliver on time and focus laserlike on keeping the end client satisfied. I am blessed to work in an industry with clients who are appreciative and an all around great group of people.
In 2014, a lightning bolt of inspiration struck me in the form of the ISLA project. Turning my vision into reality required a great expansion of my skillset. Deeply did I dive into woodworking, industrial design, 3DP, photography, engineering, rapid prototyping, generative design and all the tributaries these skills thrust me into. In the years that followed, I started to make associations between these new disciplines, realizing that for me, continuous work on creative concepts was the key to my own happiness. Using the Kaizen discipline, I work hard every day to create the “project artworks” featured in this portfolio, continuously expanding my artistic capabilities day by day. I enjoy taking on projects that are increasingly audacious in scale and scope. I consider new emerging design technologies, especially in the field of AI, to be flash floods turned into roaring rivers - they have the power to raze existing landscapes, but can also be cleverly tapped to make water wheels, boats, and other opportunities that we are just beginning to conceptualize. I strive continuously to discover new ways to combine these and other disciplines to create meaningful artistic creations.
