Workshop

This workshop was born of necessity for the ISLA project and was my first "major" woodworking undertaking. Fresh off the study of lean manufacturing, I wanted a system that was highly adaptable, seeing that the need for reorganization would be constant. The slat concept was chosen for this reason. Each slat has a 3/4" plywood backing, which allows for "hooks" (mostly wooden blocks) to be mounted onto the top of each slat. Hook blocks are constantly moved around the workshop to accommodate for changing needs and more efficient systems.
This workshop is a sanctuary. Light and wind flow in from outside, I get to use my hands and be on my feet. Rumor has it that sometimes, during certain alignments of stars, this workshop is even clean.
